Cynthia Evett Vail Lowe is an author, life-coach and much requested transformational speaker. She has authored a workbook and instruction manual titled THE FINAL ACT OF KINDNESS. This manual assists readers to start preparing the paperwork needed to protect their families financially while they are still living. Ms. Lowe has spoken at conferences, churches, labor organizations and staff at the National Urban League. Her coaching clients obtain immediate and permanent results. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a concentration in Human Service Management. Cynthia retired as an Assistant Deputy Commissioner from the New York City’s Human Resource Family Independence Administration after giving forty one years of stellar service to the city; rising from the beginning ranks of typist. Ms. Vail implemented many cost saving initiatives while employed. One resource saved the city ten million dollars annually.
Although retired from city government she continued to play an active role by representing her former colleagues for six years in the elected position of Delegate at Large for the New York City Managerial Employees Association. A position she resigned from to pursue her varied interest. In December 2015 the Managerial Employees Association honored Ms. Vailwith an Outstanding Achievement Award for helping NYC MEA advocate for diversity in the work force and pay parity for all NYC managers.
